About Me

I am currently employed as the Technology Director at the American International School of Abuja where I manage our IT and Communications Departments. During my four years at AISA, I improved communications, streamlined processes, and bolstered our online presence to improve recruitment.

At AISA, our IT department works with both academic and operations staff to create the best learning and working environment possible. For example, I worked with our principals on budgets, ensuring that students had access to the technology to best serve them in the classroom. In the Middle and High School, I also worked with our principal and teachers to develop a design-based technology program which incorporated robotics, coding, video editing, and graphic design.

In operations, I worked with our admin team revising many of our internal workflows, adding a layer of automation to improve internal and external communication while reducing workload. For example, I designed a script to aid with student behavior reporting, whereby a teacher filled a single form which automatically notified relevant administrators of the issue, filed the report, and emailed parents. Other technology-based solutions improved our experiences with scheduling, overseas ordering, budgeting, inventory, lunch services, parent communication, IT & maintenance ticketing, new family onboarding, parent-teacher conference scheduling, invoicing, and reimbursements.

As part of the school improvement process, I redesigned our teacher housing network and switched ISPs doubling the school internet speeds and quadrupling housing speeds at a reduced cost. In addition, my department helped teacher and student enrollment by creating recruitment videos and redesigning our website using SEO to dominate google search rankings and web analytics to focus on our most visited pages.
If given the chance, I would like to meet with you about how to utilize my skills to improve the staff and student experience at your school.
